This month, physical therapists Dr. Kirsten Carmichael PT, DPT, CSCS and Dr. Ila Suplizio, PT, DPT broadened their clinical knowledge and skill set with some great continuing education courses!
Kirsten took a course titled Optimal Shoulder Performance, which studied not only rehabilitation for athletes with injured shoulders, but also improving high level shoulder performance. Ila continued her specialized training in pediatrics by completing a course on the evaluation and treatment of infantile torticollis and plagiocephaly, which is an area of orthopedic pediatrics that Ila is particularly passionate about. In addition, she also completed a course on childhood and adolescent hip disorders. Family Physical Therapy is committed to providing patients with the highest level of expertise by supporting their physical therapists as they continue to study the latest medical research, and attend courses on innovative evaluation and treatment techniques. Sometimes, we get to take care of each other. You may have seen Jaycie working hard on her rehab for a sports injury. Here is some of the awesome agility work she is doing to get back to Ultimate Frisbee.
