"In December I suffered a disabling neck injury. From the first visit I was impressed with Brett's expertise and dedication to the profession of physical therapy. Brett knew what pain I was in, but his compassion and pleasant demeanor helped to make the pain bearable. I was able to return to work after my visits with Brett! Two years later I was disabled with pain down my leg. I looked to Brett again, he went right to work on me with excellent results. Brett I want you to know how much I appreciate all the time and personal attention. In this world that is almost unheard of..."

"Just to let you all know how much I appreciated all of your help on my arms. They truly do feel much better. And I will see you again if and when I need help."

"I can't say enough to express my appreciation for your caring attention (and ultrasound) to my old and creaking knee.
It's hard to accept the wearing out of old and faithful body parts —kind of like Humpty Dumpty o the wall anticipating the next crack in the shell. It's heartening to find people like you along the way. I will make an effort to continue with the exercises to keep limber.
You're a good man "Charlie Brown!..."

Our Staff Bios

Brett Pinkney, MPT, I have been involved in physical therapy since 1987, after graduating from North Dakota State University with a degree in Corporate and Community Fitness I then went on to graduate from Mayo Clinic's School of Health Related Sciences with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy.

After graduation I worked as the head physical therapist at Back To Work Physical Rehabilitation in Citrus Heights. Over the years I have continued to work primarily
as a sole physical therapist, while also moving into the role of clinic manager. I survived many work transitions as the clinic I managed was acquired several times by larger and larger physical therapy companies, finally becoming part of one of the largest national physical therapy corporations.

In 2005, while reminiscing at a Christmas party with colleagues, and with the prompting of my spouse and friends, I came to the realization that the time was right to leave the corporate physical therapy setting and start my own physical therapy clinic. I opened the doors of Family Physical Therapy in March of 2007 and haven't looked back since. The clinic grew faster than I anticipated and that success allowed me to hire other therapists who share my compassion and willingness to help others.

As our clinic name applies, we are “Family”. We see patient's that range in age from four years old to our fabulous seniors well into their ninety's. We enjoy serving our patients over the years and are always appreciative of their trust when they refer us to their friends and family or they return to our clinic when they have additional need for therapy services. We look forward to continually serving our patients needs and our goal is to treat each patient as part of our extended “Family”.

Sharon Gaebler OTR, CHT is a recognized specialist in hand therapy for the Sacramento and Roseville area since 1995.

Many people ask me why I chose to do Hands… while I was in therapy school at University of Puget Sound; one of my professors owned a hand clinic. He was quite inspirational and had a love for this specialty. When I graduated I started a training program in Sacramento next door to the Hand Surgeons and was fortunate to have a once in a life time experience. I have since worked in the Sacramento Metropolitan area for the last twenty years, exclusively doing hand therapy. To this day, I still love the field and have learned the most from my patients.
